Hi, and welcome!

Jessie Bruah is a photographer based in Queens, NY. Originally from Crystal Lake, Illinois, she moved to NYC in 2007 to attend the School of Visual Arts, where she received her MFA in 2009. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2004 with her BFA in photography and a minor in creative writing. Her artwork has won various accolades and has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Jessie has lived in Jackson Heights since 2013 with her partner, Chris, and is active in the local community. They are parents to 5-year-old Josephine, also known as JoJo. When not taking pictures, Jessie likes to take Josephine on "city adventures” (or just Travers Park!) or come up with new craft projects. She also likes to bake and read in her (albeit rare!) spare time.
